    Adjustment & Transitions

Moves, new beginnings, unexpected endings, life, and death… all impact us in ways that we never imagined. If your life is LIFE-ING, and it feels like you’re having a difficult time catching your breath, you might benefit from additional support. Allow someone in The Sanctuary to walk with you as you navigate cultivating a new normal.

    Identity & Self-Esteem

“When I discover who I am I will be free.” -Ralph Ellison.

Who am I? Who do I want to be? What is it that I value? Self-discovery and self-awareness are key components to feeling free and being well.  In The Sanctuary our providers support you as you search to identify your truest, and ideal self. We support you on the journey of learning and unlearning as you strive to become the greatest version of yourself.

    Parenting

“There is no such thing as a perfect parent. So just be a real one.” -Sue Atkins

In the Sanctuary we recognize that parenting is challenging, yet one of the most fulfilling jobs in the world. Parenting is sacred work, but we know it’s not easy. Our parenting coach continues to remind us that parents need support, community, connection, tools, and resources.  In the Sanctuary we offer parenting support groups, and individual coaching sessions for parents who could benefit from this unique type of care.

    SAD-Stress, Anxiety, Depression

Did you know that mental health challenges amongst BIPOC tend to go undiagnosed, untreated, and are often much more persistent; this means -longer lasting. Are you feeling overwhelmed, persistently worried, do you sleep a lot or not sleep at all, are you always annoyed or irritable, no longer finding joy or excitement in anything at all?  You could be suffering from a stress disorder, anxiety, or depression. Contact us so we can collaborate in helping you learn more about yourself, your symptoms, and your unique needs. You don’t have to suffer in silence.

    Spirituality

According to research, 83% of Americans believe that spirituality and faith are closely connected to physical and mental wellbeing. Agreed! In The Sanctuary we believe in order to truly care for a person one must seek to understand all the beautiful and complex parts that make us who we are. This includes the integration of spirituality. In The Sanctuary we know that an authentic desire to explore the deep inner needs of people enhances healing, and we make room for that.

    Trauma

Trauma, a variety of definitions with a tremendous impact that affects us in a countless number of ways.  Trauma impacts us at our core as it challenges core beliefs related to-how we see ourselves, how we see others, and how we see the world. The goal of trauma work is not to focus on what’s wrong with you, or even what happened to you, trauma informed therapists are curious about ways to help you understand what has happened INSIDE of you as a result of the things you have experienced. In The Sanctuary we believe that healing is always possible, and we use a variety of modalities to support you in working towards your healing.

    Clinical Supervision & Consultation-

“The supervisory relationship is the pillar that supports everything else about supervision.” – (Bernard, & Goodyear)

If you are at the stage in your professional development in which you are seeking a supportive, encouraging, empowering, and collaborative mentor and supervisor who will partner with you as you navigate becoming an independently licensed clinician, please give us a call so that we can discuss your unique needs and where you are on your journey.

    Telehealth

Telehealth, also called- telemedicine, pretty much means we bring the care to you with technology. While the 2020 pandemic certainly took it up a notch, telehealth is not a new phenomenon. It’s been around since the late 1950s. Here in The Sanctuary, we love being able to increase access to behavioral healthcare and various supportive services. We also understand the persistent demands of life, and trying to balance it all so we offer telehealth by providing virtual visits utilizing a variety of technological resources and platforms, that will vary depending on your provider.
